Desdemona's Diary VII by Lenisha

I told Emilia and Iago that my husband called me a whore. This upset Iago. I was deeply hurt by Othello’s words. I left and betrayed my own father and country just to be with him. And this is the thanks I get? Being called a whore and accused of sleeping with Cassio? This is truly unfair of that damn man! Now he won’t even dare to look at me without that look of pure hatred and disgust. I don’t know what to do anymore! I fear that my Lord will do something he will deeply regret: murder me. I know it’s very crazy but the look in his eyes, like some strange version of a warning or bad omen. Iago said that he’d tried to talk to Othello. I pray to the heavens that he would get through to poor Othello or may the heavens have mercy on me.

Desdemona's Diary VI by Lenisha

Othello has changed. His behavior towards me is so hostile and bitter. I ask him what is the mater and he said nothing. I have misplaced the handkerchief the Moor has given me that was given to his mother. He begs and begs for me to saw it to him and I told him later on. What the hell is wrong with this man? Since day one he was always so sweet and loving to me but now its like being with another man. A tormented soul that lives in Othello. My cousin and uncle have come to say that my father has died. Then my husband did something: he hit ME! I couldn’t believe it! And accuses me of being with Cassio! I was so hurt and angry with him. How dare he! I was always true to Othello. But I still love the man with all my heart.

Desdemona's Diary V by Lenisha

I never have seen a man cry before with such grief. Seriously, Michael Cassio was crying like he lost his entire family to the Turks. And to make matters worst, this man has come crying to me, asking for me to talk to Othello, my Lord for his job back. Honestly, by his feeble reaction, I think that Othello was right for removing him. But knowing I always have a kind heart, I told him to relax and that I’ll try to talk to Othello. However, my Lord wasn’t planning on giving Cassio his job back. Oh how this man was completely stubborn. I asked him at dinner. No. I asked him in the morning. Again no. Then I said well when? Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday or when the Turks rises from their graves in the sea? My Lord seems a bit upset at Cassio and me for some reason.

Desdemona's Diary IV by Lenisha

Othello told me about when he and the Venetian army had arrived in Turk; the storm had already done the job for them. I was very glad that Othello didn’t have to fight because the though of losing him would just kill me. But he said that he’s fine and that I shouldn’t worry so much.

Desdemona's Diary III by Lenisha

I have asked the Duke of Venice if I can come with my husband, Othello to Cyprus and he agrees. The Duke is very understanding. And lucky for me, Emilia is also attending. But the terrible part is that Iago is also coming as well. Honestly there is something off about that man. I wanted to tell Othello that he should keep an eye on him, but I fear he won’t listen to me. And worst of all, I have been waiting for days for his safe return. Although to me, the days feel like years and years. Will I become a widow so young? Will he be killed as a punishment for my betrayal to my own father? But then I saw his ship! Oh I have never been so happy in my life! He looks as if he never been in a war in his life. Thank God!

Desdemona's Diary II by Lenisha

I told my father and the Duke of Venice about my marriage to Othello the Moor. And might I add, my father wasn’t please at all. Sometimes I couldn’t believe that I am related to him. The way he was acting was like he had gone completely insane. He said that Othello had me under a spell or witchcraft. As much as I wanted to tell my father off for saying such feeble lies, I remained calm about the situation. I spoke in the eyes for the Duke of Venice and told him that Othello didn’t simply have me because of spell or whatever, but because of his wonderful and interesting stories of war. And right then and there, this courageous and adventurous man swept me right off my feet. And I said to my father that my mother had chosen him over her own father. Why me?

Roderigo Diary pt. 6 by Kayron Merritt

The moment of truth. Iago told me that I would have to kill Cassio because he is competition towards Desdemona heart. I have never killed anybody before. Like I said I’m rich so for me to fight wasn’t necessary or required. As I figured I was completely horrible  at trying to take a life. I wasn’t even to pierce Cassio armor and instead I end up getting stabled. Iago was able to sneak by stable in his leg and not be seen. Lodovico and Graziano heard our cries of pain but for some reason doesn’t come and help us. All I can think about is how I will never be able to see my love again or know how it feels to kiss her. Than Iago appears carrying a light but once he notices me he stabs me with no hesitation. Betrayed by a person I considered my friend left isolated by a female I called my true love. I finally realized left is just filled with surprises and unfair treatment. Some people are blessed with h finer things and life. I thought I was lucky one because of my riches but I come to realize that money can’t buy you happiness just pain and suffering. I guess it wasn’t written in history for me to live a long and loving  life

Roderigo Diary pt. 5 by Kayron Merritt

Everything is becoming chaotic! Othello is going around interrogating Emilia and Desdemona. I understand Iago plan to make her look unfaithful but I didn’t take into consideration the actions Othello would take. I figured there would be some kind of violence but not to extreme as to kill her. I’m not completely sure that he would do that but based on his violent history anything at this point can happen. It’s to late to switch to a new plan. The current plan is way to deep to interfere. To interact can only complicated the situation. But to leave this alone can end up losing the one I love the whole purpose of me hiring Iago. My head is spinning I cant figured out what to do. Am I’m truly willing to die for a woman who I think I am love with? Do I truly love Desdemona? Or is this just phrase I’m going threw?

Roderigo Diary pt. 4 by Kayron Merritt

Iago is an evil genius. His plan completely caught me off guard. But his plan is starting to get to risky. I have seen the looks that Othello has been giving Desdemona. Its as if he wants to kill her. I’m starting to get concerned about her heath. But who am I to stop a war hero who have been in dozens of battles. For I am just a handsome rich man looking for love. Iago plan is working but to what degree? I’m having mix emotions about Iago plan. Should I have taken matters in my own hands? In this point in time its pointless to have any regrets because it seems like its only a matter of days before I can my opportunity to be with my love. I should be happy but something seems wrong. Was everything that happened worth it or was I blinded by love and make the biggest mistake in my life? Just so confused with life

Roderigo Diary pt.3 by Kayron Merritt

There might be hope yet!!! I might have spoken to soon about life being unfair. There was storm in the seas and Othello ship hasn’t been seen yet. Our ship was lucky enough to survive the storm. With the death of Othello Desdemona would be a emotional wreck and I will be able to sneak into her heart slowly. Who would of guess that all that planning was out did by a simple storm. I wasted a lot of money on Iago and his useless ideas but im to happy to get upset.  My heart feels like it has been stable with a knife. I have heard news of Othello ships being seen. Moments later Othello is on the shores with Desdemona in his arms. This woman has me going through all kinds of emotions. Once again my mouth has spoken words to soon. Looks like I have to spend more money on Iago ideas. I really pray to the heavens that Iago plans can actually work.

Roderigo Diary pt. 2 by Kayron Merritt

My doubts towards Iago are getting more annoying as the days go pass. Iago promise me that he hates Othello and is willing to help me with my problem of a lonely heart. Sense the promotion of Cassio I have no doubt that Iago main reason for Othello is because of that promotion. My heart aches more because I just found out that Othello is marring Desdemona. I also heard that Desdemona father is upset about this proposal. Honestly I believe that he is upset because Othello is black. In my opinion I really don’t care that he is black I just like I can be a better husband than Othello mentally and physically Brabanzio still doesn’t want me to see Desdemona but he fail to realize that you cant stop love or true love at that. If it involves me and Desdemona sneaking away to a distinct location by all means I would do what ever it takes to be with my love. I finally see Iago plan making progress its still to early to say it worked or not but still any progress is better than no progress.

Desdomona Diary by Lenisha

How wonderful is this? I have finally wed my true soul mate, Othello. Our first night together as man and wife was truly a blessing for the both of us! But I am somewhat upset because of my father who doesn’t know that I, his only daughter, have wed with the Moor. How I dread to see his face. The shame, disgust, and betrayal are what I’ll see in those tired eyes of his. I will tell my father and the Duke of Venice of my marriage to Othello before any other soul finds out.

Well I have told Emilia since she is my maidservant and the wife to that Iago. Sometimes I wonder what she sees in him? He has this evil presence as Emilia described. Great now Emilia had just told me that the Duke of Venice and my father has summoned me.

What will I do now?

Othello's Diary by Gregory Scott Rhone-Mootry

Something is wrong here? I sense Iago is not one who can be trusted but I could be wrong. But anyway, I am so pleased with my wonderful Desdomona, she is so beautiful it sometimes amazes me but I must stay on my guard because I know that, because of her beauty other men will also be also try to take her away from me. Even though they need not bother because no one can destroy our undying love, even that damned Barbanito. They couldn’t even if they tried, I am now a respected General in the army and will soon fight in the Ottaman, I now have the power to sweep away any man that tries to come near her! But, I must continue with my duties now, I will continue to write to you whenever I can and inform you of the events and happenings of my time.

Until then,
Othello

Roderigo Diary By Kayron Merritt

My lust for Desdemona grows stronger with each passing day. It’s hard to see a girl you love in the arms of another man. I have come to friend name Igao. He promises me that with a plan he made can have the outcome of me being with my love Desdemona. So I agreed to that plan and has been helping with anything he needs help with. Lately I have been starting to get second thoughts about Iago. He has been using my money as he please and for some occasion for his own selfish needs. I thought I could trust him as a good friend but I’m starting to believe that he is only looking out for himself. If that is so I’m am willing to spending some money for my love Desdemona. I’m still have my concerns and I might have seconds thoughts about Iago and his so-called plans. The opportunity to be with Desdemona is just to much of a risk to just pass up I guess you can just call me a sucker for love.

Iago's Diary By Stephon Willliams

I despise Othello for not making me a lieutenant. I feel I was the best officer and Cassio should be swimming with the fishes.  I will come up with a plan to turn the government against him. I need help from roderigo to complete my tasks. Othello is a fool to go up against me he will regret this day. Some may call me villains by I don’t care, I get what I want.  I got it I will tell Desdemona father of the moor and his daughter relations. This will outrage Brabantio, and I will watch his position drop quickly. If I was the lieutenant I would be the best lieutenant ever lived. Nothing can come between my destiny and me.  I have to make Othello jealous to mess his relationship up with Desdemona.  This is the start of my conquer of Venice , pretty soon I will be the duke.
